Led the MEL strategy for USAID’s SHOUHARDO III Plus and DRR project, ensuring a robust system and high-quality reporting for donors, government, and partners. Provided strategic oversight to a large MEAL team, developing sustainability monitoring and an innovative market-led agriculture service model. Oversaw key studies—including Baseline, Endline, ROI for Youth, and Outcome Surveys—while developing SOWs and essential MEL tools such as MEAL Plans, Logical Frameworks, Indicator Tracking Tables, PMPs, RMS, and Theories of Change. Leveraged GIS and digital tools for dynamic data visualization, integrated CLA principles, and led data quality and context monitoring efforts to support adaptive management.
Led field-level M&E strategies for a $110 million USAID and Government of Bangladesh-funded Resilience Food Security Activity (RFSA), ensuring high-quality data collection, analysis, and reporting. My experiences includes conducting thematic studies, evaluations, and impact assessments in areas such as climate change, social and behavior change communication (SBCC), public health, and capacity strengthening. I also designed and implemented robust M&E systems for Resilience Food Security Activities (RFSA) in CARE Bangladesh, CARE Mali, and CARE Niger. Additionally, I offered expertise in both qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and reporting to enhance program effectiveness, learning, and accountability.
I managed and oversaw a $130 million USAID-funded multi-sectoral program (SHOUHARDO II), which targeted 370,000 poor and extremely poor households in remote and hard-to-reach areas of Bangladesh. I developed robust systems to track progress against results frameworks, MEL plans, and beneficiary tracking systems for large-scale, multi-sectoral interventions. I also enhanced the program’s capacity to capture location-specific early warning system data, improving community preparedness and responsiveness. In addition, I strengthened the capacities of regional teams in M&E, MIS, GIS, and ICT applications, and regularly prepared detailed quarterly reports to monitor progress and outcomes. I successfully tracked data across sectors including agriculture, health, nutrition, women’s empowerment, early childhood care and development (ECCD), and resilience, and shared timely information with program leadership to support adaptive management and evidence-based decision-making.
I skillfully facilitated Humanitarian Assistance Program staff in implementing M&E activities during emergency situations, ensuring timely and effective monitoring of response efforts. I designed and implemented MEL systems tailored for emergency contexts to track project progress and outcomes efficiently. To support accurate record-keeping and timely reporting, I developed a computerized database management system. I conducted regular field visits to monitor project activities, provided on-the-ground support to field teams, and shared key findings with management to inform decision-making. Additionally, I established a feedback mechanism system to capture community input and ensured the visibility of project-related activities through consistent documentation and communication.
I developed and implemented effective M&E systems by strategically assigning PNGO M&E personnel to support execution within both partner organizations and CARE Direct Delivery teams. To ensure data quality, I strengthened the capacity of M&E staff through targeted training on data entry, analysis, and reporting, while promoting participatory M&E methods to enhance community engagement and ownership. I fostered a learning environment that encouraged capturing key successes, challenges, and lessons learned to inform adaptive management. Additionally, I maintained and regularly updated the M&E database at the hub office, ensuring smooth data entry processes and the accuracy of reported results.
I ensured data accuracy and closely monitored program activities, providing regular feedback to improve implementation and outcomes. I developed Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) tools to engage stakeholders in tracking progress and measuring impact. My responsibilities included assisting with data collection, conducting crosschecks for data quality, and performing data analysis using SPSS. I also prepared comprehensive monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reports to support program accountability and learning. Additionally, I provided technical support to PRODIPAN in rolling out M&E activities during the period of June to July 2009.
I led the annual impact survey from start to finish, overseeing the development of the methodology, survey design, sample selection, data collection, and analysis to ensure rigorous and meaningful results. I provided ongoing professional support to project staff to facilitate timely data collection and accurate reporting. Actively participating in all M&E events, I helped capture key learning and insights to inform program improvement. Additionally, I developed customized data entry software to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data processing and management.

The Gender and Youth Activity (GAYA)'s Cultivating Inclusion for Food Security Fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand. Teams from 10 BHA and other USAID-funded projects across the Asia region came together for this enriching experience.
Organized by Mercy Corps, the event was a true "aha" moment for me. I immersed myself in the Inclusive Resilience Qualitative Inquiry, exploring essential topics like shocks and stresses, resilience questions, context analysis tools, systems mapping, and inquiry objectives. Learning alongside our dedicated facilitator and passionate fellow colleagues from various countries made this experiences even more impactful.
This journey was an incredible opportunity to expand my knowledge, exchange ideas, and build new skills in promoting gender equality and youth inclusion in the context of food security. Throughout the fellowship, we had the privilege of learning from global experts, collaborating with fellow professionals, and reinforcing our dedication to building inclusive and resilient communities.
